Main Research Fields

Our major research field is structural study of diverse ligands perception by plant receptor kinase superfamily. Arabidopsis encodes 17 classes, about 440 membrane-localized receptor kinase proteins. Receptor kinase superfamily recognizes thousands of different signal molecules and regulates almost all plant life activities-reproduction, growth, immunity, etc. We aim to elucidate the molecular signal transduction mechanisms during these perception processes using both structural and biochemical methods.
